Flat Repair
At Tire Doctor, our service department uses the 'plug' and 'patch' repair system. The 'plug' portion stops moisture from entering the belt package of the casing and the 'patch' portion repairs the hole so the tire can hold air once again. This repair process is more time consuming due to the fact that the tire must be dismounted from the wheel assembly. Injuries larger than 3/8" diameter or any penetrations to the sidewall cannot be repaired by our service department, as they require a 'section repair' performed by one of our retread facilities.
